Sales & Reservations Coordinator (One year contract)

Job Summary: The Sales & Marketing Coordinator is a support role responsible for performing sales & marketing administrative duties as directed by the Sales and Marketing management team.  PLEASE NOTE - This is a one-year (maternity leave) contract position begining in April.

Reports to: Director of Sales & Marketing

Responsibilities will include but are not limited to:

  • Fielding, qualifying and coordinating inquires to the sales and marketing office
  • Assisting with proposals and contracts, finalizing bookings
  • Handling all group services for corporate, film & entertainment, and social groups. This includes but is not limited to:
  • Securing and posting deposit payments for groups
  • Securing and entering rooming list for groups
  • Coordinating and sending out final billing and/or folios for groups
  • Coordinating and finalizing the Banquet Event Orders (BEO’s) for groups and catering only events
  • Actively soliciting and selling catering only meetings for event organizers within a 30-day booking window
  • Fielding in-coming reservations calls for the hotel while balancing the guests needs with the hotel’s financial goals
  • Assisting with sales activities including mail-outs, organizing tradeshows and travel
  • Maintaining libraries of sales and marketing collateral and contracts
  • Acting as a key operator for sales and catering software (Opera) and managing client database
  • Running various sales reports on a monthly, quarterly and annual basis to assist the sales team
  • Assisting sales team with prospecting, sales calls, site inspections and entertainment as required.

Qualifications:

  • Candidates should have previous experience in sales. Whereas sales experience in luxury goods and specifically luxury hotel sales will be considered a strong asset.
  • Resourcefulness, initiative and high energy are essential.
  • Candidate must be highly professional and well-groomed and must possess excellent verbal and written communications skills.
  • The ability to multi-task, to work well under minimal supervision and to function effectively within a small team environment are critical.
  • Candidate must be highly driven, organized, detail-oriented and able to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication & organizational skills
  • Excellent computer skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team

Room Attendant - (Part Time)

Job Summary:
Will service guest rooms and guest housekeeping requests and is responsible for providing the OPUS brand level of service.  PLEASE NOTE - This is a part time position.  

Responsibilities:

  • Consistently offer professional, friendly, and engaging service
  • Service a set number of rooms during a shift
  • Oversee the following tasks upon servicing a room: dusting, bed-making, linen removal, linen retrieval, vacuuming, washroom maintenance/cleaning, window cleaning, replenishment of room supplies
  • Update the record of cleaned rooms
  • Report necessary maintenance requests to MOD
  • Follow all company safety policies
  • Abide by all company sanitation policies

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
Contribute an energetic and positive attitude to the Hotel atmosphere.  Focus will be on attention to detail, and consistently performing at a high level of service in the variety of tasks being performed.  Flexibility and teamwork will be important attributes for a successful candidate.  Candidate must also be able to stand, walk, kneel, push, and pull throughout shift, in addition to carrying and lifting up to 30lbs,
