Night Manager (Vancouver - Yaletown)
Will be involved in the operation of a variety of overnight guest contact positions consisting of Guest Services, Bell Services, Reservations and Room Service.
*Greets and registers guest in and out of the hotel
*Conducts night audit by reconciling accounts and completing operations package
*Actively promotes the sale of the hotel and maximizes all potential revenue generating situations.
*Handles and inputs any reservation requests
*Answers and assists with any guest questions looking for ideas or recommendations in regards to the city and its attractions.
*Always maintains a high level of guest service using eye contact, smiles and guest's last name.
*Able to work a variety of shifts including weekends and overnight shifts *Performs all cashier duties
*May be required to assist in storing luggage and room deliveries.
*May need to assist in parking and retrieving of guest vehicles.
*Educated and aware of WHMIS standards and safe work procedures.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
Contributes an energetic and positive attitude to the hotel atmosphere. Person must possess' excellent interpersonal and communication skills. Focus will be on attention to detail, and consistently performing at a high level of service in the variety of tasks being performed. Flexibility and teamwork will be important attributes for a successful candidate. Prior OPERA experience along with knowledge in MS Excel and Word is a strong asset. As well, overall knowledge of the city in regards to attractions and restaurants is required. Strong knowledge and background in the hotel industry is important, with the focus on the Rooms Division. Mandatory Requirements:
**Willingness to work overnight/graveyard shifts mandatory.
**Valid BC drivers license mandatory.
**A strong grasp of the English language in both verbal and written forms is mandatory.
