OPUS Hotel - Reservations Sales Agent

Job Summary:

OPUS Vancouver is looking for a Reservations Agent with a passion for sales, excellent service, and an eye for detail!  This position will report directly to the Director of Revenue

Responsibilities:
-
Handle multiple phone calls; heavy call volume at times
-Respond to email requests
-Consistently maintain a high level of service, using professional verbiage at all times
-Actively promote the sale of OPUS, to maximize all potential revenue
-Successfully complete all reservation requests
-Answer and assist any and all guest questions; maintain knowledge of hotel facilities, surrounding area amenities
-Manage hotel inventory in PMS, and external systems
-Manage all group blocks: monitor inventory, enter rooming lists
-Daily tasks, as assigned
-Must be available to work a variety of shifts, including weekends
-Must posses a strong command of the English language, verbal & written
-Must posses legal work authorization for Canada

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
This role quires a high level of attention to detail, organization, and problem solving skills.  The successful candidate is a self-starter that can work with minimal supervision.  Expected to contribute an energetic and positive attitude to the Hotel atmosphere, this person must posses excellent interpersonal and communication skills. Prior luxury hotel experience is preferred, ideally in a Reservations or Rooms capacity, along with knowledge of Opera PMS.  Knowledge of Microsoft Outlook, Excel & Word is mandatory.

OPUS Hotel – Room Attendant (Vancouver - Yaletown)

Job Summary:
Will service guest rooms and guest housekeeping requests and is responsible for providing the OPUS brand level of service.



Responsibilities:
-Consistently offer professional, friendly, and engaging service

-Service a set number of rooms during a shift 

-Oversee the following tasks upon servicing a room:  dusting, bed-making, linen removal, linen retrieval, vacuuming, washroom maintenance/cleaning, window cleaning, replenishment of room supplies

-Update the record of cleaned rooms

-Report necessary maintenance requests to MOD

-Follow all company safety policies

-Abide by all company sanitation policies

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
Contribute an energetic and positive attitude to the Hotel atmosphere.

Focus will be on attention to detail, and consistently performing at a high level of service in the variety of tasks being performed. Flexibility and teamwork will be important attributes for a successful candidate.    

Candidate must also be able to stand, walk, kneel, push, and pull throughout shift, in addition to carrying and lifting up to 30lbs,

Bell Services Agent/Valet

Compensation: Competitive + Gratuities

Job Summary:
Foremost will act as an ambassador for OPUS Vancouver in meeting and greeting all guests. The position will be responsible for the handling of luggage and all other deliveries within the hotel. Will be responsible for the parking and retrieval of guest vehicles and report to the Duty Manager on shift.

Responsibilities:
-Meet and greet all guests with intuitive service
-Handle all deliveries to guest rooms and public areas
-Assist with room service and banquet when necessary
-Will look after the parking and retrieval of all guest, visitor, and OPUS Privilege vehicles, as well as monitoring the front door.
-Assist with transportation requests or arrangements, including driving guests in the hotel car to downtown destinations.
-Educated and aware of all WHMIS standards and safe work procedures.
-Trained and responsible for Occupational First Aid procedures.
-Will act as the ambassador of the hotel in representing the General Manager in all situations with guests.
-Contribute an energetic and positive attitude to the overall hotel atmosphere.
-Must be able to work shift work, including weekends. 
-Assist the Guest Service Associate with operations at the Front Desk.
-Assist guests with stellar concierge direction.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
Contributes an energetic and positive attitude to the Hotel atmosphere. Person must possess excellent interpersonal and communication skills. Focus will be on providing a high level of professional and friendly service to each and every guest. Position will require a fair amount of physical work as well as long periods of standing. The position will require a high degree of efficiency and initiative. Candidates will be required to have a solid understanding of Vancouver's attractions, with a focus on Yaletown. Prior knowledge of Opera or other computer applications is an asset. 

Requirements
-Valid BC driver’s license mandatory + ability to drive a manual shift (standard) vehicle.
-A strong grasp of the English language in both verbal and written forms is mandatory. 
-Applicants must have permission to work in Canada.

OPUS Hotel - Duty Manager - (Vancouver - Yaletown)
Responsible for overseeing and supervising the front-of-house operations of OPUS Hotel Vancouver.  Position reports directly to Front Office Manager.

Responsibilities:
- Adjust and react to business levels to ensure labor costs are in-line
- Resolve guest/staff concerns or problems when required
- Directly supervise all GSAs and BSAs as well as Housekeeping and Room Service staff and delegate when needed
- Liaison with Food and Beverage Managers on issues affecting OPUS
- Responsible for ensuring the safety of all guests and staff in the event of an emergency
- Fully trained and knowledgeable on emergency procedures including the operation of the fire panel
- Act as OPUS ambassador in representing the General Manager in all situations with guests
- Educated and aware of WHMIS standards and safe work procedure
